Surprise!

After a nice Sunday afternoon nap, Rose and I went outside to chase goats out of the yard. Then we walked over to check the little beds I planted a couple of weeks ago. I figured that the floods washed all the seeds out, but sure enough, there were little bitty lettuce plants peeping out of the soil.

There is nothing more hopeful than tiny shoots coming up out of the earth and buds on the trees.

I am imagining how that felt finding Philip's shirt in the milking parlor. And then how it felt tramping around on the trails with your daughter.

Hi Debi. Spring sure is good for hope. Thinking of you and your transition as we work toward ours. Funny the parallels. Different flavor, but definitely some parallels. Hope you are finding some comfort as you miss your mom.

Parallels, yes. I guess we all go through it sooner or later. That's because we love.
