In a pinch, cooking the barley and adding cream of mushroom soup will work. Of course, fresh or dried mushrooms are much better. Add cracked pepper and a light pinch of mixed dried herbs that you like.

Hey, maybe if I manage to actually cook a meal today, I'll make it to go with the turkey breast I thawed!

Thanks for the idea.Redhenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06560057307230379103noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6739655481104184892.post-79648914506928732772010-01-29T10:25:44.219-06:002010-01-29T10:25:44.219-06:00I love the sound of that soup! Not covering it makes the edges a little more chewy and toasty, which I like. I am hungry thinking about it!gingerhillery@mac.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11058818226976530765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6739655481104184892.post-64512948221158446912010-01-25T18:34:01.539-06:002010-01-25T18:34:01.539-06:00Thanks for the recipe idea!
